WooCommerce Breaks 500,000 Downloads, Flash Sale

After WooCommerce has broken the half-a-million mark in downloads the WooThemes Team has decided to celebrate in style by offering 50% of all WooCommerce extensions – just use WC500K and you should be all set!

I’d dispute the true number of downloads. The download ticker on WP also includes upgrades, ie 1.6 to 1.6.1 counts as a download. A more accurate representation of the true download would be (500,000)/(number of versions of WooCommerce/2) or

500,000/(44/2)=>500,000/22 => Just under 23k

  I’m not sure if I would agree with you here. I think your math somewhat discredits the work that their team put in with updates and upgrades. If their post was on the number of sites that are running WooCommerce, then I think you would be correct.
