February is the month for love and especially more WordPress love from our international friends. There’s three Wordcamps planned for the month of February. We have a new location, a returning location, and one running for the third year!
Here’s the list of the February Wordcamps:
- WordCamp Bologna, February 9, 2013 in Bologna, Itally
- WordCamp Jerusalem, February 20, 2013 in Jerusalem
- WordCamp Pune, February 23-24, 2013 in Pune, India
I’m pretty impressed with the Wordcamp Bologna site. They have quite a bit of info built out already for their schedule and speakers. They seem to have a great mix of developers and designers for speakers lined up.
Something that I found pretty interesting about Wordcamp Jerusalem was there are quite of developers with knowledge or RTL (right to left) and localization. Hebrew and Arabic are pretty fascinating languages and I personally haven’t seen a WordPress site with either one of those languages before. Neato!
It seems to be Pune’s first Wordcamp. I have to say hats off to the two organizers Amit Singh with WPoets and Span Shah with Resonate Web Solutions for making this happen. Their details are a little scarce at the moment, so reach out if you are in or know of anyone in the area and help them out.
Are You Going to a February WordCamp? Live Blog for Us!
One of the things that we’d love to have happen long-term is have representatives for WP Daily at every single WordCamp event. That’s right, every. single. one.
You are probably aware of a number of blogs that cover killer events like the Apple Announcement events with live bloggers providing on-the-ground notes and blog posts about what’s happening in real-time. Wouldn’t it be neat if we could provide that type of coverage worldwide at WordCamp events?
That way everyone, at any point in time (as long as there is a WordCamp going on) can be experiencing some of the community and share in the value that’s being created so more people can learn, more people can become educated, and more people can learn to love WordPress… well, more.
So, if you’re headed to any of the events in February we’d love to talk to you to help cover some of the event, whether it’s just a blog post or two or just some pictures of the people attending the event. Contact Us and let us know and we’ll do something neat.
One More Thing…
A special thank you goes out to Google Translate for making this post possible.
