Use Eventifier to Document Your Next WordCamp

I’m still having conversations, online and offline, about the WordCamp here in Atlanta that we had just last weekend. In fact, I’m getting dinner with a bunch of those folks this coming week so we can continue the conversations and the collaboration!

There’s no end to WordPress community, seriously.

As we finish up though we’ve been trying to track down great pictures of the event and make sure that we can publicize them and get them the air time they deserve – because it was such an awesome event!

But walking through the hashtag #WCATL (WordCamp Atlanta’s hash) isn’t very fruitful nor is it very efficient – there has to be a better way! Fortunately, there is. Thank goodness.

What is Eventifier? It’s simple – it collects all the photos that it can find based on the event name and hashtag. That’s it. Done and done:

hash

And you can try it for your next event. It’s only $19 for a one-time event and is pretty neat, if you ask me. You have the ability to archive the event and data, search through them to find the right pictures for your blog posts, real-time analytics as well as a dashboard for one of your volunteers to interact with some of the attendees.

It’s at least worth a look at your next WordCamp or Meetup event!

Check out Atlanta’s WordCamp Eventifier page for a great example.

  1. I saw this come across yesterday. I really like this concept for sharing event stuff. Pretty handy for WordCamps. If you know it going in, you can just ask speakers to send out slides on the hashtag, and there you go…

  2. While it can be fun to see images come in with a specific hashtag at an event, I haven’t seen a great way to archive them. This sounds like a good option. And as Brian said, it could be great for speakers to get their slides out to everyone as well.

  3. Thanks for the recommendation John. Here is a list of WordCamp events we have done so far

  4. @Jazeel Looks like you did’nt pass the link, well here is the link: http://eventifier.co/events/search?q=wordcamp

  5. Hi John,

Glad you found Eventifier. We used it, along with Epilogger, for WordCamp Detroit. Love how easily we were able to curate photos, tweets, and videos. I’m a big fan of Lanyrd as well for curating the slides, blog posts, and other coverage of the event.
